Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy describes how FounderLens (“we”, “us”, “our”) collects, uses, and protects your information when you use our website and Service. We are committed to handling your data responsibly and transparently.

1. Information We Collect

Information you provide

  • Email address — when you join the waitlist or create an account.
  • Account information — name, company details, and preferences you provide during onboarding.
  • Payment information — handled entirely by Paddle (our Merchant of Record). We never see or store your card details.

Information collected automatically

  • Usage data — pages visited, features used, and interaction events, collected to improve the Service.
  • Technical data — IP address, browser type and version, operating system, referrer URL, and browser User-Agent, collected when you sign up or use the Service.
  • Cookies — session cookies required for authentication and functional cookies for preferences. We do not use advertising or tracking cookies.

Integration data

If you connect third-party tools (e.g. Stripe, analytics platforms), we access that data read-only to power your FounderLens experience. We do not sell, modify, or share this data with third parties beyond what is necessary to operate the Service.

2. How We Use Your Information

  • To operate, maintain, and improve the Service.
  • To send transactional emails (waitlist confirmation, account notices, billing receipts).
  • To respond to your support requests.
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, or security incidents.
  • To comply with legal obligations.

We do not sell your personal data. We do not use your data to train machine-learning models without your explicit consent.

3. Third-Party Service Providers

We share data with trusted sub-processors only to the extent necessary to operate the Service:

  • Supabase — database hosting. Stores waitlist signups and user account data. Encrypted at rest and in transit. Privacy Policy.
  • Resend — transactional email delivery. Your email address is passed to Resend solely to send Service-related emails. Privacy Policy.
  • Paddle — payment processing and tax compliance. Paddle is the Merchant of Record and processes billing data under their own privacy policy. Privacy Policy.
  • Vercel — hosting and edge infrastructure. Privacy Policy.

4. Data Retention

We retain your personal data for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Service. Waitlist email addresses are kept until the product launches or until you request removal. You may request deletion of your data at any time (see Section 6).

5. Security

We implement industry-standard security measures including encryption in transit (TLS), encryption at rest, and access controls limited to authorised personnel. No method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security but take all reasonable precautions.

6. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights under GDPR, CCPA, or other applicable law, including the right to:

  • Access the personal data we hold about you.
  • Correct inaccurate data.
  • Request deletion of your data (“right to be forgotten”).
  • Object to or restrict processing.
  • Data portability — receive your data in a structured, machine-readable format.
  • Withdraw consent at any time where processing is based on consent.

7. Cookies

We use strictly necessary cookies for authentication and session management. No advertising or cross-site tracking cookies are set. You can disable cookies in your browser settings, though some features may not function correctly as a result.

8. Children’s Privacy

The Service is not directed to children under 16. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with their data, contact us and we will delete it promptly.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We will notify you of material changes by email or by posting a notice in the Service. Your continued use after the effective date constitutes acceptance.
